Individual KPI Tracker Pages
This section provides granular, indicator-level tracking for each of the key performance indicators underpinning Oman Vision 2040. Every KPI page follows a standardised analytical framework: baseline value (typically 2015-2017), most recent observed data point, interim milestone targets, and the 2040 end-state objective. Trajectory analysis assesses whether the current rate of progress is sufficient to meet the target on schedule, flagging indicators that require policy acceleration.
Data sources include the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the World Bank’s World Development Indicators, the IMF Article IV consultation series, and specialised indices from bodies such as the World Economic Forum and UNDP. Where official Omani data is unavailable or lagged, proxy indicators and international estimates are noted transparently.
Key economic indicators include GDP Growth Rate, Foreign Direct Investment as a share of GDP, and the Global Innovation Index ranking. Human development metrics such as the Education Index and Health Expenditure as a share of GDP track progress on the People and Society pillar. Governance indicators cover Corruption Perceptions and Government Effectiveness.
Each tracker page is linked to its parent priority scorecard and to the implementing programmes responsible for moving the indicator.
